Usage Example: Video Conferencing

You can use the GNU Gatekeeper to conduct your videoconferencing or as a replacement gatekeeper in your existing video conferencing installation.

Using the CTI extensions, GnuGk can be used for example to implement a video call-center or coordinate access in a remote learning setup.

The GNU Gatekeeper can work with any H.323 endpoint. It has been successfully tested with video conferencing equipment from many of the big vendors like Polycom, LifeSize or VCON. Please see the list of test results.

Starting with version 2.3.0 GnuGk also supports H.460.18 and H.460.19 so you can more easily tunnel your video conferences through firewalls.

Please also check the Polycom compatibility notes.
